Something a bit different at Tunbridge Wells Writers this week with a presentation from Publishing House Wet Zebra who will be outlining their Crowd Commissioning route to publication. This is an opportunity for all – whether existing TWWs or not – to learn about the wide range of services Wet Zebra has to offer budding authors seeking to independently publish in both e-book and traditional hard copy formats. Tuesday March 21st from 8:00pm at St John’s Yard…

In Other News a goodly gaggle of our regular members attended the fourth birthday of Read Your Words at Javabean cafe this week, and what a wonderful evening it was too! A lively mix of prose and poetry and a bit of “Moth” style storytelling, with even the odd monologue and acapella rap thrown in for good measure. Huge thanks to hostess Debbie and MC and organiser Carolyn Gray for all of their hard work, and to all the readers who have helped make the event such a success over the years. Lots more to come, including an evening to ease the town into UNFEST weekend on May 25th. Poster coming soon.

Another opportunity to arise from RYW is a “flash-fiction literary exchange” project with fellow writers in Russia, organised by Astra Nova Writer’s Club. The deadline on this one is quite short (cut-off April 12th), but with a 250 word ¬†upper limit for stories you should be OK if you sign up soon. Details HERE.
